Individuals must be available full time for the entire duration of UCD Startup Stars intensive four week programme at NovaUCD from 29th May to 23rd June 2017.
Funding of €250 euro per week per person to successful applicants will be structured as a student internship (paid on a weekly basis) and will cover business expenses incurred as part of the programme.
Applicants must be current undergraduate or postgraduate students of University College Dublin (UCD).
The programme is open to teams of 2-3 members. Each team may have a mix of disciplines and levels (i.e. teams may consist of both UCD undergraduate and postgraduate students.)
Information that the team considers confidential should not be included in its application.
Decisions of the judging panels are final.
Neither UCD, NovaUCD, Innovation Academy UCD nor UCD College of Business will have any rights to an equity stake or any other benefit in the startups that apply and are supported through the programme.
It is not a requirement that the applicant is an incorporated entity although applications from Limited Companies are welcome.
Ownership of all intellectual property (IP) must be clear and unambiguous before applying for a place on the programme.
All IP created by the participants during the programme will be owned by the creators. Any previously created IP (not created by the participants) introduced before or during the project must be notified to the organisers at the application stage or before the IP is introduced.
While it is advisable that each team has some form of agreement amongst the members of the team regarding distribution of any future benefits, such an agreement is the sole responsibility of the applicants.
These terms and conditions are indicative only and subject to change. Successful applicants will be required to enter into an agreement with UCD governing their participation in the programme.
